Respite Services
We are here to support you and your whānau’s overall wellness by giving you the chance to take a break.

Enjoy your respite stay.
During respite stays you may be supported to attend activities such as community events, or learning a skill and increasing your independence. You will have the opportunity to spend time with others, to meet new people, and make friends.
You will enjoy:
- a planed regular stay
- personalised support in a safe and nurturing home
- access to fully trained staff in all aspects of support
- fun activities and outings
All NZCommunity Living Support staff are checked against the requirements under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 (VCA).
What is Respite?
Respite is a planned or temporary service provided to the caregiver of a child, or adult. Respite can be in a dedicated home or even in your own home.
Some people might take a while to get used to the idea of having someone else supporting their loved ones, while others feel more comfortable to rely on respite support. Whatever the case, it is healthy to start using regular respite as early as possible, so that everyone can get used to having these breaks.
Respite is a partnership between you and the respite provider. We are there so you can have both physical as well as wellbeing support. We will work with you to make the most of the time.
